We Are Living in the Last Days

The majority of the public is not concerned about where we are in relation to the scope of our existence here on this planet that we call earth. Even though we are called a Christian nation, and many do believe in God, however our schools colleges and universities do not believe or teach that God is the creator and controller of our planet.

It is not only the general public that is deceived by these institutions, but the media as a whole has bought into this teaching, as well as many Christians, including church leaders that accept the so called Big Bang theory. But God has those that have been faithful, right through the ages. God is not a theory, and it is possible to know Him personally. He is the creator of the universe and all that is in it. The fool has said in his heart, there is no God, they are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good. (Psalm 14:1)

God has given us a blue print and instruction manual in the Holy Bible, how to live our lives here on this earth. The scriptures says that we all have sinned and come short of God’s glory. Therefore it is impossible to reach God’s standards on our own, and that is why God sent His Son, Jesus Christ into the world two thousand years ago. He lived the perfect life that none of us could, but He was rejected and crucified, and shed His own blood willingly on the cross, so that all who receive Him can have their sins forgiven, and will one day be with Him in heaven for all eternity.

The scriptures teaches that God has times appointed for certain things to happen or be fulfilled, like Christ was born to Mary at an appointed time in history and He was crucified and arose at a appointed time, and there are many other appointed times referred to in the scriptures. Daniel received instruction from an angel in Daniel 8:19b “for at the appointed time the end shall be.” So there is nothing mankind can do to speed up or delay what God has set as an appointed time. But He has not left us in the dark, concerning His plans for humanity, and the church, which is Christ’s body that will rule and reign with Him. The invitation goes out to all mankind, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) As already mentioned that He has not left us in the dark concerning these times, which are referred to as the last days.(of this Age) The prophecies of the old testament Ezekiel, Daniel and many others, as well as Christ Himself and His disciples, have given us insight into what God is about to do.

Christ himself, in Matt.25: 32-34 says, “Now learn this parable from the Fig tree: When his branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near- at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” We know that the Fig tree is a picture of Israel becoming a nation in 1948.

The Jews had been killed and the Temple destroyed in 70 A.D. when Titus and the Roman army conquered Jerusalem, and the Jews that were not killed were taken captives and dispersed all over the world. The land and country that was Israel became desolate and a waste land, with nothing growing for approximately 2500 years, and foreigners lived and occupied it.

The Jews are still God’s people, and in order to see what God has for mankind, His creation, we need to watch what is happening in Israel. In Ezekiel chapters 36 –37 we see Israel (the fig tree) is putting forth new leaves. The desserts are blossoming 36:8 “ But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit for My people Israel, for they are about to come. And the Jewish people have flocked back to their homeland ever since 1948. Here is what God prophesied that He will do with Israel, “Thus says the Lord God; behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into there own land. Ezekiel 37:21, and again in ver.25 “Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt: and they shall dwell there, they and their children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever.”

These prophecies were given to Ezekiel some 2500 years ago and we have seen these being fulfilled right before our very eyes over the past 50 –60 years with complete accuracy. Now Israel’s story does not end here, but it is only the beginning of the greatest miracles that God will perform in order for them to posses this land. The inhabitants that have lived there for thousands of years are not about to turn this land over to the Jews without a fight. At this time the country of Israel is in turmoil, they have been fighting for the land that God has led them to posses, but the enemy does not want to give up what they think is theirs. We as Christians know the out come of this battle, not because the Israeli army is so strong, but because God has predicted the outcome in Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39, and He is going to win the battle for them. Just as we have seen Ezekiel 36 and 37 fulfilled in the last half century, I believe that we can without hesitation say that these next two chapters of 38 and 39are about to be fulfilled in our life time. I am not saying this presumptuously, but on what I believe the bible teaches, through the prophets and Christ Himself.

Lets see what Ezekiel 38: prophecies: 2: “Son of man set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophecy against him, 3: and say. ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. 4: I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaw, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horseman, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. 5:Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6: Gomer and all his troops; the house of Tagarmah from the far north and all its troops – many people are with you. 7:Prepare your self and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them. 8: After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate, they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. 9: You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a storm, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”

At this point let us review the above 9 verses. I must confess that all those names do not mean all that much to me except that I have been told that Magog was a tribe of people that migrated to what to day is Russia. Gog apparently was a prince living in the land of Magog, but was also prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. This is a great northern army which will be, not an army of horses, but probably tanks and planes and the most up to date armory. It is interesting to note that it seems to be God’s idea to bring them around with a hook in their jaws to bring not only them but also the countries of the Middle East Persia, (Iran) Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer (?) and Togarmah from far north (?) into the mountains of Israel like a storm, covering the land. God obvious has a plan as to why He is leading these northern countries with all their alias into the country of Israel which has just been made into a garden of Eden, as was prophesied in Chp. 36&37. Could it be that God is leading this incredible big army into the land of Palestine, so that he can annihilate all these godless nations at one time?

Let us now continue with Chp. 38: 10 Thus says the Lord God; “It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into your mind, and you shall think an evil thought. 11: And you will say I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and have neither bars or gates. 12: To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn your hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, that have acquired cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Here are 4 verses squeezed in between verses 9 and 14 that will lead you to believe that the prophet is just repeating some of what he has said in the earlier verses for emphasis. He does indeed do that in the verses from14- However there are some things that do not line up with it here as referring to Israel. The northern army is already in the mountains of Israel, already planning to attack Israel, so when it says at the same time an evil thought come into his mind in ver.10, he is not referring to Israel, but more likely to America. It is a land of unwalled cities, towns, and villages. America is also at rest and living in safety, never has had walls, or bars and gates. America was a land that was desolate and only the Indians there but is now inhabited by people out of every nation in the world and have become one of the richest countries in the world. This is why Russia and her alias are coming to take a spoil, In the 1970’s I believe it was, when Paul Jackson an accountant from Texas had a vision, that he shared, He was viewing America from a high position, and he saw all of America before him, like a map, and as he looked down on it, he saw all the different cities, and many that he had been too. Suddenly there were explosions in these cities like big fire crackers set off in many of these cities. He said to the Lord is this the end of the world? The Lord said no this is Russia attacking America at the same time it is attacking Israel.

Verse 13: Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish, and all the young lions (England is a lion) will say to you, “Have you come to take a plunder? Have you gathered your army to take a booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away life stock and goods, to take a great plunder?”

I do not profess to know who these nations are, but they are young lions and as we all know England has the Lion as its emblem. Could it be England and its alias? They (lions) are surprised at what Russia and it’s alias are up to, but whoever it is they apparently do not interfere. And nothing is said of the out come of this attack, or even if it happened, because it says it was only an evil thought that came into Russia’s (Gog) mind as they were pursuing to get into the mountains of Israel.
Then again in verses 14- 16 Ezekiel repeats or confirms what he prophesied in verses 2-9. Then in verses 18-23 we see the results of what God did to these ungodly countries.

There will be a great earthquake and great destruction throughout the land of Israel, so that mountains will be thrown down. 21: “ I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God ‘every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 “And I will bring him to judgement with pestilence and bloodshed. I will rain down on him, on his troops and many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hail stones, fire and brimstone.” 23: “ Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.”

In the first 7 verses of chapter 39, he repeats much of what has already been said in chp. 38 and he confirms, that it is coming; ver. 8 “Surely it is coming, and it shall be done,” says the Lord God. “This is the day of which I have spoken” Then in the remainder of the chapter he tells of the consequences of this great battle, the destruction and the clean up that will take seven months. In 28 he concludes with “Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any more. And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have pour out My Spirit on the house of Israel,” says the Lord God.

This generation that has seen the blossoming of the land of Israel, ( The Fig Tree) from a desolate land to a land that has become like the garden of Eden, will not pass away till all these things are fulfilled. Matt.24:32-35 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near – even at the door! “assuredly I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.”
It is imperative that we as Christians wake up to where we are in our Christian walk
and not be caught unaware. The Feast of Tabernacles is at the doorstep.
May God lead you and guide you in your search for the truth.
