Perfected on the Third Day

PERFECTED ON THE THIRD DAY (1976)

Luke 13:32

The Church is about to enter into the last of the Last days. Peter on the Day of Pentecost said "----this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; and in the Last days saith God I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh "( Acts 2 :16 - 21). The disciple of Christ, on the day of Pentecost, were entering into the beginning of the last days. God's restoration of the fallen human race, from Adam and Eve's sin in the Garden of Eden to the Church reigning and ruling with Christ in the millennium is a period of seven thousand years. The Last days are actually made up of the final three days of God's week of restoration. God's week of restoration , is a week of seven days, with one thousand years per day. “ But, beloved be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2 Peter 3:8

As soon as Adam and Eve fell into sin by eating of the forbidden fruit, God set about to make provision for their restoration. (Gen.3:15) This provision, of course, was Jesus Christ, God 's only Begotten Son. Four thousand years, or four of God's days were coming to a close when Christ came into the world.

"Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world." (John 1: 29). This is not only proven by church history, but also the Jewish custom of sacrificing the lamb on the Feast of Passover supports the four days. The lamb was taken out of the flock-a perfect lamb- on the tenth day of the first month and kept for four days; (and on the eve of the fourth day or the fourteenth day Ex. 12:3-6) it was slain by the whole house of Israel (.Ex. 12 : 3-6) So Christ the Lamb of God came to fulfill all of the feasts--"Who was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you." (1Peter 1:19)

So Christ came and was slain at the close of the fourth day: and the disciples now at His resurrection entered into the first day of the Last Days (Acts 2: 16-21) which is really the fifth day of God’s week of restoration. Jesus referred to these last days in Luke 13:32 “….Behold I cast out devils and do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I am perfected.” Now we know that Jesus was not referring to himself here because He did not need perfecting, but He was referring to His Body the Church of which He is the Head. He is saying that there will be two days (today and tomorrow) or 2000 years of ministering done by the church even though it is not perfect. Then on the third day or the millennium, as we have come to call the last one thousand years, ( Rev. 20:4 ) the church will be perfected. For Christ is coming for a church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. (Eph. 5:27)

The prophets spoke of the same thing in Hosea 6:1-3: “ Come let us return to the Lord ….After TWO DAYS He will revive us in the THIRD DAY He will raise us up and we will live in His sight …He shall come unto us as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” The latter-rain outpouring,, although it started with the early church, it will consummate in its full force during the millennium or the third day (Luke 13:32) which is also The Day of the Lord. This is the day in which the sons of God are going to be revealed and creation is waiting and groaning for it. (Rom: 8:19) Let us not be deceived by traditional teaching that we will be taken out by a so called “rapture,” and not be on this earth when Satan is cast down from heaven. (Rev. 12:9) This teaching is not scriptural and not of the Holy Spirit, and could lead many into deception , thinking that they will not go through testing and trials that are coming upon the whole world. I believe that it is at this time that Psalm 91 shall become a reality to all those that make Jesus Christ their refuge in the Ark . Just as Noah and his family were safe from the floods that destroyed all mankind, so also Jesus will protect those that abide under the shadow of the Almighty. “ a thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand: But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you. For He shall give His angels charge over you.” (Psalm: 91: 9 – 11)

Just like Jesus taught and trained his disciples for ministry in the first century, in the same way, the manifested sons of God will have been prepared and equipped by the Holy Spirit to do the works that Jesus and His disciples did – and thus bringing the Body of Christ into perfection. Christ is not coming for His Bride (The Church) till it is perfected, “sanctified and cleansed by the washing of the water, of the word that He might present it to Himself a glorious Church not having spot or wrinkle“ ( Eph.5: 26-27 ) If it will take the third day to be perfected, ( Luke. 13:32 ) then obviously He is not returning for His Church the bride till the end of the third day (millennium). And if the sons of God are going to restore all of creation during the third day then Christ is not returning till this is accomplished, because Acts 3:20&21 says “And He shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you : Whom (Jesus) the heavens most receive until the restoration of all things.” When it says restoration of “all things “ It includes the whole earth including the Church as well. It was when Christ ascended up far above the heavens, that He might fill all things (Eph.4: 10) “ that He gave some apostles, and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry , for the edifying of the body of Christ, Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. ( Eph. 4: 11 – 13) Although the early church was ministering in this five fold ministry very effectively in the first several centuries, it was not long before these ministry gifts started to fade out, starting with the apostles down to pastors and teachers and right into the dark ages. Than the reformation started with Martin Luther and many others following, and the ministry gifts are being restored, starting with Teachers ,Pastor, Evangelists, which we have had for the past several centuries, prophets for the past few decades and apostles within the last few years. It is at this time, when the manifested sons of God are revealed that all the ministry gifts will again be back in full operation and even greater then the Early Church. “ But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head, even Christ.”( Eph. 4:15)

In Daniel we have the visions of things to happen in the last days. Daniel wants to know when these things are going to take place, and the answer that he receives supports this “three-last-days” interpretation.

In Daniel 12:6 we read: “ ---- How long shall it be till the end of these wonders? --- verse 7 ---it shall be for times, times and half a time. “ To interpret the meaning of time, times and half time we have to go to Rev. 12 & 13, and let scripture interpretate scripture. Now a time could be a minute, an hour a day a week a month, a year a century or a millennium.- it can be any length of time.. In Rev.12 : 14 we have the same term used “ ----- She was nourished for a time, times and half a time.” Now for example if time, which is singular, were one hour then times would be two hours, and one half a time would be one half an hour, which would add up to three and a half hours, if our interpretation of this statement of times is correct. Well we do not have to guess at Rev. 12 : 14, because there are two other places where this same period of time is identified in a specific time period. In Rev. 12 ; 6 time, times and half time is said to be 1260 days, which according to bible times is three and one half years, as there were three hundred and sixty days in a year.

In Rev. 13 : 5 we have the same period of time again when the anti-Christ is out to blasphemy God and His Tabernacle, but this time it is given as 42 months or again three and a half years. We can therefore conclude that the period of time that Daniel was given in the vision of time, times, and half time is in fact a sum of three and a half. The question is –three and a half of what? There is only one answer! It cannot be years or centuries because all those time periods would not bring us to the birth of Christ, let alone the end of the age, which was Daniel’s question to the angel. No, there is only one answer, and that is it has to be millenniums, or three and a half one thousand year days.

Now lets see if this fits into the last days of God’s week of restoration. We are about to enter the next millennium which is one day with the Lord, and is referred to in Daniel as TIME (singular). We are close to the end of two thousand years from Christ’s resurrection, which will complete two of God’s days. And this is referred to as TIMES in Daniel. According to scholars and theologians, Daniel lived some where Between 500 – 600 B. C. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon captured a group of Jews from Jerusalem in about 600 BC, among them several young people of royal decent. Daniel was one of them. (The World Book Encyclopedia) The book of Daniel in chapters 6,9 & 11 tells us that Daniel lived during King Darius reign. According to the Encyclopedia Darius became king in 521 B. C. and reigned to 486 B. C. We can confidently establish that Daniel received this vision right around the year 500 BC which is one half Time or one half of God’s day. We can therefore upon the Word of God, say that the time times and one half time in Daniel 12:7 means three and a half of God’s Days, which is three and a half millenniums. The end of all these wonders will not come about for another one thousand years or one of God’s days, because only two and a half days have passed since Daniel received the vision.

“And I ( Daniel ) heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And He said go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” (Daniel 12: 8 – 10) “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant women. And they shall not escape. But you brethren, are not in darkness, that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of night or darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”(1Thess.5: 1 – 11)

My purpose in writing is to make us aware that we should take our eyes off the so called “rapture

theory” and put them on Christ;( It’s not that there will not be a catching up of the saints but a mater of when, and according to Eph. 5:27 the Church will be a glorious church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing ; but that it should be holy and without blemish when He presents it to Himself) and like Paul “strive to know Him” and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His suffering -----“ Phil.3:10, so that WHEN He appears we shall be like Him Not AFTER we get to heaven. 1 John 3: -- 2-- . We are nearing the great and terrible DAY of the LORD. It is great for those that will find protection from the dragon (Satan) in the wilderness where they are safe and fed and protected. (Rev.12: 14) But it will be terrible for those that have missed out, not willing to take up the cross and forsake all and follow Christ, and be an overcomer. (Rev.12:17 & 13:7)

P.S. According to our calendar we are three years into the third millennium, which is not right according to scripture. The lamb was held for four days, and than slain on the eve of the fourth day for the whole house of Israel.( Ex. 12:3-6) Likewise when Adam and Eve fell into sin and were cast out of the Garden of Eden, God promised them (the human race) a redeemer, Gen. 3: 15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; and it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” So Christ was “ slain from the foundation of the world “ Rev. 13:8 and was held for four days or (4 – 1000 year days) from Adams fall to the end of the Old Testament age or eve of the 4th day when He was crucified (slain) for the whole house of Israel (mankind). Now our calendar supposedly was dated starting with Christ’s birth, however they have discovered that it is probably out by four years, and that Christ was most likely born 4 BC We know that He was thirty years old when He started His ministry, and to the best of our knowledge His ministry lasted 3 ½ years. Christ’s life and ministry was lived out in the Old Testament times, and he was crucified at the end of that age. When He arose on Easter Sunday morning. it was not only a new day but the beginning of a new age or new millennium. Therefore we have not entered into the third millennium or third day to date, but rather the true calendar according to the scripture should be approximately 1974
