Belief’s We Have Been Taught That Are Not Scriptural
Does the bible teach ? #1 - Christians are going to be taken and sinners left behind. Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah, So shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man.” How was it in the days of Noah? They were eating and drinking, marrying and given in marriage, and knew not till the flood came and took them all away. Who was taken away? The sinners of course! And who was left behind? The righteous! Noah and his family were left behind in the Ark of safety (Jesus our salvation) that Noah had built as God instructed him to do. Matt.24:38+39. How is it possible for our Bible Schools and Institutions to teach that the Christians will be taken, and the sinners left behind? This is not according to what Jesus taught in the scriptures. Again the next two verses 40 + 41 say, “ Than shall two be in the field: the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill: one shall be taken, and the other left. Again the implication has always been the righteous are taken and sinner left. If it is going to be as in the days of Noah, rather the reverse of what we've been told will happen. Let us look at Matt. 13:25- 30, which is the parable of the good seed being sown in the field and the enemy came while men slept and sowed tares among the wheat. As the wheat sprouted and grew, so did the tares. When the workers saw the tares in the wheat they were going to pull the tares up. But the owner said let them grow together and at the harvest time, I will tell the reapers, gather up the tares FIRST and bind them together and burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn. Now we do not have to speculate what the interpretation of this parable is because the disciples asked Jesus to do just that, “ Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; the tares are the children of the wicked one. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world. (Age) And the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. (Age) The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity. (FIRST) and shall cast them into a furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (destruction) Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.(3rd millennium) Who has ears to hear let him hear.” Matt. 36-43 it is very evident that what we have believed, is not scriptural. The sinner is taken out of this world, and the believer inherits the earth. #2 That the Anti- Christ makes a seven year(week) pact, and will brake it in the middle of the week. This miss conception is arrived from misunderstanding the vision to Daniel’s 70 weeks that Gabriel showed him. I will not go into detail of the full meaning, except that it is all about the return of the Jews to their home land and the re building of Jerusalem and the temple, and the Messiah coming and His being cut of from his people (Jews). The only Scripture I will quote is; Daniel 9: 27 “And He (Jesus) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week He (Jesus) shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abomination he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Many of us were taught by man that this 27th verse of Daniel is the Anti-Christ making or confirming a covenant with the Jews. There is no where in scripture telling us that the Anti-Christ has a covenant to confirm. This whole vision that Daniel had was to reveal the coming of the Messiah to the Jews, and that Jesus the Messiah was the one that was coming to confirm the covenant that God had made with Abraham. Genesis 17:13 “ He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with your money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting COVENANT.” God had made this covenant with Abraham, and Jesus came to CONFIRM this covenant. Gal. 3:17 “And this I say the COVENANT, that was CONFIRMED before God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred years and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make a promise of none effect. Rom. 15:8 “Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to CONFIRM the promises made unto the Father.” Heb. 13:20 “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting COVENANT.” The Lord Jesus came to fulfill the covenant that God had made with Abraham for one week, however it was broken in the middle of the week (31/2 yrs.) by His death on the cross and the Vail was rent in two from top to bottom. Thus ending of the animal sacrifices, through giving His life as the Lamb without blemish and fulfilling the EVERLASTING COVENANT promised by God to Abraham in the middle of His Week. At which time He was cut off. The last half of the seventieth week yet remains to be fulfilled, This is the great tribulation period of three and one half years. Times, time and half a time, one thousand, two hundred and sixty days, forty two months, and three and one half years, all refer to the same period of time. The Church Age which is a period of two thousand years and was proceeded by Christ’s three and one half years ministry to the confirmation of the COVENANT through grace. will end with the second half of the week with the two witnesses to confirm the same covenant in JUDGEMENTS. #3 The Parable of The Five Wise Virgins will go into the Wedding Feast and the Five Foolish Virgins who did not get in are lost. FALSE All ten virgins were believers, and they all had lamps that were burning. This speaks of the fact that they were born again. The number ten stands for testing, these virgins being tested, whether they had what it takes to be part of the company of believers that will make up the Bride of Christ. The five were wise and took extra oil, but the foolish neglected to buy the extra oil. Oil in scripture always represents the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that keeps the flame of our spirit burning, enabling us to be the over comers and enter into the fellow ship of the bridegroom. Isaiah62: 1-5 “ --------- for Jerusalem’s (Bride) sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a LAMP that burneth. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of your God. You (Bride)shall no more be termed Forsaken; ------ for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married. For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you: and as a bridegroom rejoices over the bride so shall your God rejoice over you.” To SEE the kingdom of God you must be born again which is to receive the Spirit of Christ. This gets you into Heaven. John 3:3 “ Jesus said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again,(believe in Jesus as your Savior) he cannot see the kingdom of God.” To ENTER the kingdom of God, you must be born of water (cleansing water of the word) and the Holy Spirit of God. John 3:5 “ ---- Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot ENTER into the kingdom of God.” Moses Tabernacle was built after the pattern given to him on the Mount by God. There was the outer court where the sin offering was made by the priest just as you entered the gate. This ritual cleansed each one from their sins who entered and had the blood of an animal that was sacrificed on the alter, which had to be done yearly. From this vantage point, once inside the outer court the Tabernacle (Holy Place) could be seen, but at this point they could not enter into the Tabernacle. (Holy Place) This is what Christ did for us on the cross, He was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, only instead of having to do this yearly, it was once for all time. Just as entering into the outer court and than being able to see the Tabernacle, in the same way when you accept Jesus sacrificial death on the cross for your sins, you are saved from eternal condemnation and the spirit of Christ is within you.( Romans 8:9b&10 ------Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead, because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of Christ’s righteousness). From this vantage point the kingdom of heaven can be seen. ( John 3:3b ) --------- Except a man be born again, ( by the Spirit of Christ) he cannot see the kingdom of God. After entering into the outer court and have your sins forgiven by the priest who sacrificed the lamb (or animal) for you. You could not go on into the Holy Place, unless you changed your garments and washed yourself in a Lever standing just outside the entrance to the Holy Place. After this cleansing you were ready to enter into the Holy Place, where the lamp stands and show bread were, which represent the down payment or baptism of the Holy Spirit.( Eph. 1:13b ) “---------- in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” Now you not only see the Holy Place , but you have entered in. In the same way a Christian must be cleansed by the “water of the Word” and be baptized in the Holy Spirit (of God) to enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5b “Except a man be born of water (cleansing) and of the Spirit (of God) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God”. From the Holy Place no one but the High priest could go into the Holiest of all and that only once a year. This Vail was torn from top to bottom, when Christ was hanging on the cross for our sins, giving free access to those that have given their all (dying to self) and are without spot or blemish (Eph.5: 26-25) thus qualified to enter Holy Place the throne room of God. (which is the Holiest of all) Read Hebrews 9: 1--15 There are a number of other beliefs that we accepted as gospel truth and yet contradict what scripture teaches. Most of them do not effect our salvation, none the less why believe what scripture does not teach. I will only mention one that comes to mind, namely, that we believe that Christ was crucified on Friday the day before the Sabbath.
